box-sizing: border-box !important;"> 桃花溪与长江的交汇口处，一桥飞架，西连三倒拐进城的起点百花宫，东接著名的青龙嘴定慧寺，这就是长寿大桥。长寿大桥的前身，叫新桥。我们今天看到的长寿大桥，是随着三峡工程而修建起来的，高度、长度和宽度，都远远超过从前的“新桥”。可是，由于长寿大桥的前身叫新桥，人们至今仍然习惯将长寿大桥称为新桥。</span></p></section><p style="vertical-align: inherit; text-indent: 0em; box-sizing: border-box !important;"><span style="outline: 0px; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px; box-sizing: border-box !important;"> 新桥，最早的名字叫悦来桥。由于河街是长寿时间最长的老县城，来来往往的人流较多，桃花溪两岸的交通主要通过渡船解决。明朝初年，有人改渡船为木板桥，行人来往大得方便。可是，每逢夏秋，溪水猛涨，冲击漫溢，木板消失，桥梁受到破坏。于是，当地士绅发起募捐，将木板桥改建为石平桥。由于长江急流冲击石墩，水流逆转，倒灌桥边溪沟，激起翻滚不息的浪头，形成朵朵白色浪花，行人不绝，留步观赏，因取浪花涌动、悦人往来之意，命名悦来桥。</span></p><section style="margin-right: 8px; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px; box-sizing: border-box !important;"> 明朝成化元年（公元1465年），长寿知县陈英将石平桥改修为四孔石拱桥。石拱桥建成之初，适逢代、尹两家结婚的花轿从桥上路过，当事人便请新郎说句吉祥话，新郎随口道：“新郎新娘来踩桥，千年巩固万年牢。”从此，“悦来桥”更名为“新桥”。</span></p></section><section style="margin-right: 8px; margin-left: 8px; outline: 0px; box-sizing: border-box !important;" class=""><p style="vertical-align:inherit;text-indent: 0em;"><span style="outline: 0px; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px; box-sizing: border-box !important;"> 清朝乾隆五十二年（公元1787年），新桥经过整修，石栏杆上刻着“龙凤呈祥”四个大字，更名为“迎春桥”。这里的“迎春”，不光指迎接自然界的春天，更隐含迎接皇帝的恩泽。桥之两端茅棚连接，小食店、小茶馆、水果铺、糖果店、烟摊、杂货摊，应有尽有，各有特色。</span></p></section><section style="margin-right: 8px; margin-left: 8px; outline: 0px; box-sizing: border-box !important;" class=""><p style="vertical-align:inherit;text-indent: 0em;"><span style="outline: 0px; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px; box-sizing: border-box !important;"> 解放初，因狮子滩兴修水力发电站，运输繁忙，很多物资都要从桥上经过，于是在原石拱桥基础上加高架起十五洞木桥，全长107.5米，高23.8米，宽6米，1957年竣工通车。</span></p></section><section style="margin-right: 8px; margin-left: 8px; outline: 0px; box-sizing: border-box !important;" class=""><p style="vertical-align:inherit;text-indent: 0em;"><span style="outline: 0px; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px; box-sizing: border-box !important;"> 由于木桥易于腐朽，年年整修，维修费高昂，又不能保证安全，曾一度禁止车辆通行。1965年1月11日，拆除原有的木桥和石桥，建成一座三孔跨距22.2米石墩，双悬臂钢筋混凝土大桥，全长123米，桥高26米，行车道宽6米，两边人行道分别为1.25米，共宽8.5米，承载重10吨。每当枯水季节，站在桥上鸟瞰长江和桃花溪，令人心旷神怡。由于桥身坚实牢固，巍然屹立，从修成至改建成今天的长寿大桥，没有遭遇洪水淹没，来往车辆畅通无阻。</span></p></section><section class="_135editor" data-role="paragraph"><p style="vertical-align:inherit;"><br></p></section></section> <!----></div><!----> 这座桥，非常有故事！
